Phivo Artemides
Phivo holds a Masters in Urban Studies in Sustainable Energy Efficient Cities. His research was on the viability of hemp agriculture to create bio-composite materials whilst addressing agro-rural socio-economic opportunities in the Eastern Cape. He heads up all things Hemp at Cheeba Cannabis Academy.
Clara Norell
Clara is the owner of SHI AB - Swedish Hemp Industries, a consultancy that works with hemp fibres/stems as sustainable fossil-free innovative bio-based materials/applications for different industries. She is a structural and civil engineer, spends her time between Sweden and South Africa where she lives in Gugulethu township. She also plays a key role in the Industrial Hemp Online Conference - Innovation for a Bio-based and Fossil Free Future.
Sharne Bloem
Sharné's background is in sustainable architecture. She is a master’s graduate from the Urban Future Studio, Utrecht University, The Netherlands, and the Sustainability Institute, Stellenbosch University, South Africa, focusing on green architecture, sustainable communities and experimentation. She also initiated and championed Team Mahali in a few award-winning projects since 2017. She is currently a sustainability consultant for Afrimat Hemp and focuses on developing a hempcrete building system.

Is this course accredited for CPD points?
Yes. The Hempcrete Building Course is accredited with two CAT 1 CPD points by the South African Council for the Architectural Profession (SACAP) and the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA).
Do I need previous experience in construction to attend?
No prior experience is required. The course is designed for both industry professionals and individuals with a passion for sustainable building.
Will there be practical, hands-on training?
