Tshego, one of South Africa’s leading hip hop and R&B artists, has built an impressive career with performances at international festivals like MIDEM in France and two SAMA nominations for his debut album Pink Panther. His work with Universal Music, Def Jam Africa, Family Tree, and his own label TWENTY5EIGHT cements his place as a dynamic force in South African music.

“I’ve been a Cannabis user for many years, but I believe in responsible adult use,” says Tshego. “With the rise of the Cannabis industry, I felt it was important to support education that teaches young people to consume responsibly.”

Cheeba Cannabis Academy presents the Dagga Couple Cannabis Scholarship, which funds three students each year to complete our flagship online Cannabis & Hemp Industry Mastery course. 

The scholarship stands as a tribute to the late Julian Stobbs, a visionary and tireless advocate for Cannabis reform in South Africa. Julian tragically lost his life during an armed robbery at his home just outside Johannesburg, leaving behind a powerful legacy of courage and conviction. Alongside his partner, Myrtle Clarke, he co-founded Fields of Green for ALL and became one of the central figures in the fight to legalise Cannabis in South Africa, even taking the government to court to challenge outdated laws and champion the rights of responsible Cannabis users across the nation.
